Organist & Choir Master

Brian graduated from teachers college and then went on to Waterloo Lutheran University to obtain his Bachelor of Arts degree in music.  He began his teaching career at the School for the Blind in Brantford. He taught music at Waterford District High School and later became the head of the music department at North Park Collegiate, a position he held until his retirement from teaching in 1996.  

Over the course of his career, Brian has been affiliated with many musical groups including the Brantford Memorial Concert Band, which he conducted for over 20 years.  He was a member of the Brant County Teacher’s Choir, the Brant Choral and Orchestral Society, the St. James Gilbert and Sullivan Society and the Brant Men of Song.  

Brian also has a great deal of experience as organist and choir director and in 2005 he was appointed music director at St. John’s Anglican Church. In 2006 Brian was inspired to begin composing music for the Anglican Church. Since that time he has produced several masses, many beautiful anthems, and numerous hymn-tune arrangements.
